About Us
Kafue child
development agency (KCDA) is a community based child development organisation
operating in Kafue and Chilanga districts of Zambia.
It
was formed in 2007 after the merging of 6 ChildFund supported community based
family helper projects which existed since 1983. We are the implementing agency
for ChildFund’s interests in the districts. ChildFund is hence the major funder
for KCDA programming.
Our vision
KCDA visualises a community in which children and youth meet
their basic needs and are well protected from all forms of harm.
Our mission
To promote child and youth development by undertaking projects that
focus on eliminating the causes of child poverty.
This we do through leveraging resources and capabilities by working
with partners to ensure that the deprived, excluded, and vulnerable groups are
